Rainha Boki Raja at ARTJOG 2025: Motifs of Resilience
A Collaborative Cultural Tribute
This project is a prestigious collaboration together with Cemara 6 Galeri and the Toeti Heraty Museum, two institutions at the forefront of Indonesian intellectual and artistic preservation. By uniting the visionary world of film with the rich archives and artistic heritage of these institutions, we aim to reintroduce the strength and intellectual prowess of Rainha Boki Raja to a contemporary audience
We are thrilled to announce that the documentary film “Rainha Boki Raja” has been officially invited for a special screening at ARTJOG 2025 – Motif: Amalan.
As one of Southeast Asia’s most influential contemporary art events, ARTJOG provides the perfect stage to showcase the intersection of history, literature, and visual storytelling. Our film explores the profound legacy of the 16th-century Queen of Ternate, bringing to life the lyrical prose of the late Prof. Toeti Heraty.
The Creative Journey
The screening event, held at the Jogja National Museum, featured an in-depth Creative Process session. Our team shared the stage with art enthusiasts and historians to discuss the meticulous research required to visualize a forgotten era.
From analyzing the Atlas Miller—a 16th-century Portuguese maritime map—to translating Prof. Toeti Heraty’s intellectual philosophy into a cinematic experience, the presentation highlighted our studio’s commitment to preserving Nusantara’s noble values through modern media.
